Programme and Prizes
of the Paris International
Harp Competition 2027

The first Paris International Harp Competition will take place from 25 to 30 October 2027, structured around four demanding stages that will allow the jury to appreciate every facet of the candidates' talent.

Applicants — aged 15 to 32 — will first undertake a video pre-selection round consisting of three required works: Wilhelm Posse's Étude No. 4, Gabriel Fauré's Impromptu, and one piece of the candidate's choice. The 30 selected candidates will then gather in Paris for the first public round at the Conservatoire Paul Dukas, which includes a Baroque work and a piece from the 20th-century French repertoire (Tailleferre, Tournier or Houdy). The semi-final will call for a free recital built around a theme chosen by the candidate, comprising a contemporary work and the compulsory piece Les Valses pour harpe by Benoît Wery. Finally, the final round, held at the prestigious Salle Cortot on Saturday 30 October, will crown three artists in Mozart's Concerto for Flute and Harp K. 299, accompanied by orchestra.

The prizes match the demands of the competition.

The First Prize consists of a Canopée Prestige harp by the Maison Camac — an exceptional instrument valued at €55,000 — complemented by a series of professional concert engagements, the details of which will be announced at a later date. Additional prizes, distinctions and scholarships will also be awarded by the jury and the competition's partners, offering several candidates the opportunity to launch or consolidate their international career.

A world-renowned jury — Isabelle Moretti, Alexandra Bidi, Sarah O'Brien, Mathilde Caldérini and Philippe Cuper — will evaluate the competitors on their virtuosity as well as on their musicality and their sense of chamber music dialogue.
